Mark Snyder officially hired as MSU defensive assistant

EAST LANSING – Michigan State made official [Friday] the hire of Mark Snyder as a new football defensive assistant, complete with his official title: linebackers coach and special teams coordinator.

Snyder, 50, most recently fired after three seasons as defensive coordinator at Texas A&M, previously served as defensive coordinator at South Florida for two seasons and head coach at Marshall from 2005-09. Before that, he coached linebackers under MSU head coach Mark Dantonio at Ohio State from 2001-03 – helping the Buckeyes win the 2002 national title – then succeeded Dantonio as defensive coordinator for the 2004 season. - Read more at Freep.com
