Michigan State’s Gavin Schilling posts solid, confident outing in 84-77 OT win over Northwestern
EAST LANSING — Michigan State sophomore Gavin Schilling took another step in his development in Sunday’s win over Northwestern, opening the overtime by swishing two free throws.
Two made free throws might not seem like a lot, but momentum was up for grabs when Schilling went to the line in a one-and-one free-throw situation with 3:53 left in OT.
Schilling’s two makes were the first points in the extra period and sparked an 8-0 run that enabled Michigan State (12-5, 3-1 Big Ten) to score its first overtime win of the season, 84-77, at Breslin Center. - Read more at MLive.com
