EAST LANSING — Mark Dantonio’s old friend Mark Snyder was introduced as Michigan State’s new defensive football assistant Sunday, and it didn’t take long for Snyder to say he felt right at home.

“It’s all about what system you run,” said Snyder, asked about the challenging role he most recently had working as defensive coordinator at Texas A&M, a program coached by offensive-minded Kevin Sumlin. “I will just say this, we are excited to be here … (I’m) familiar with all of it, the whole system.
