Tests on MSU’s Valentine, Costello show nothing serious

EAST LANSING — The Michigan State men’s basketball team’s health outlook is on the upswing today, after coach Tom Izzo said that tests revealed nothing serious wrong with juniors Denzel Valentine and Matt Costello.

Valentine has an “ulcer” in his throat, Izzo said, but is “90%” healthy and improving. Costello, who missed time last season with mononucleosis, is fine. Both admittedly have been sick and sluggish lately, and Izzo said after Sunday’s 84-77 overtime win over Northwestern that both would get tested. - Read more at Freep.com
