Healthy MSU could pull ahead in messy Big Ten race
EAST LANSING – Things looked different this afternoon than they did the last time Tom Izzo took the podium at the media room in Breslin Center – Sunday afternoon, upset after an 84-77 overtime escape of Northwestern, concerned that his team might be in for another dose of bad medicine.
Wisconsin lost at Rutgers that night. The Badgers are now 3-1 in the Big Ten, tied with MSU, Maryland, Indiana and Iowa, and they’ll be missing senior point guard Traevon Jackson (broken foot) for about six weeks.
