Kiper: MSU’s Conklin carried high first-round potential

Michigan State could have players going in virtually every round of this spring’s NFL draft, including cornerback Trae Waynes, who ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. has going No. 16 overall to Houston in his latest mock selections.

But the player who got the most attention on Kiper’s conference call Wednesday was a guy who will be around for at least another season at Michigan State — left tackle Jack Conklin.
