EAST LANSING — Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo said today that swingman Javon Bess might be done for the season because he has pain in the right foot he broke before the season.

Bess said Saturday that he was awaiting tests. Izzo said that Bess definitely will miss MSU’s game Tuesday at Northwestern (7 p.m., BTN) and two weeks overall. Izzo said the injury is not as problematic as that of former MSU guard Russell Byrd, and he said he isn’t sure yet whether Bess can get a medical redshirt and another year of eligibility at the end of his career. - Read more at Freep.com
