MSU’s 2015 O-line might yield multiple draft picks

EAST LANSING – Make it 21 Michigan State players drafted on Mark Dantonio’s watch, 11 on offense — it would have been 12, but the Miami Dolphins made it clear Saturday they selected 2014 Big Ten receiver of the year Tony Lippett in the fifth round to be a cornerback.

Lippett and Trae Waynes (first round, No. 11, Minnesota) make it six defensive backs and five cornerbacks drafted under Dantonio. Jeremy Langford (fourth round, Chicago) is the fourth running back, Keith Mumphery (fifth round, Houston) the fourth receiver.

Dantonio also has had three defensive linemen, two tight ends, a linebacker and a quarterback picked. That is every nonspecialist position group represented but one. And it is possible a 2015 offensive line expected to be Dantonio’s best could produce multiple picks in 2016. - Read more at Freep.com
