No. 12 – Javon Ringer
Running back, 2005-08, Dayton, Ohio
The skinny: Ringer gave Mark Dantonio an elite workhorse to ride early in his coaching tenure, and Ringer allowed the Spartans to both tread water and make strides they otherwise might not have made in Dantonio’s first two years, especially during a nine-win 2008 season. Ringer was a consensus first-team All-American as a senior that year — the first at his position at MSU so acclaimed since Lorenzo White — rushing for 1,637 yards and a school-record 22 touchdowns. – Read more at LSJ.com
