MSU notes: Holmes, London emerging as top RBs
EAST LANSING – There weren’t and won’t be statistics from Michigan State’s first scrimmage of preseason camp, but senior quarterback Connor Cook did report that the offense — which lost, 30-14, to the defense using a modified scoring system — scored on its first possession with a Cook pass to Aaron Burbridge.
And Cook, who actually sat for most of Saturday’s scrimmage as MSU coaches did heavy evaluating of backups Tyler O’Connor and Damion Terry, had a lot of time to watch the running backs.
