He’s not Captain Cook, but still MSU’s commander
East Lansing — It’s understandable Connor Cook was a little bummed out last week when he wasn’t named one of Michigan State’s three captains this season.
In a vote of the players, Shilique Calhoun, Jack Allen and Darien Harris were selected.
All are fifth-year seniors. All are productive. All are respected by teammates.
But Cook, the fifth-year senior quarterback who is 23-3 as a starter and has led Michigan State to a Big Ten championship and wins in the Rose and Cotton bowls, admitted he was hoping to be a captain. - Read more at DetNews.com
