Italy odyssey puts MSU basketball team on firm footing

East Lansing — Tom Izzo didn’t love the fact it took more than two hours to complete a meal, but other than that, Michigan State’s trip to Italy was a resounding success.

The Spartans returned Tuesday following a 12-day trip that included four games, three against national teams prepping for an Olympic qualifying tournament.
