Spartans know reaching higher ‘goes through Oregon’

East Lansing – Mark Dantonio knows the score. So do his players.

Entering Saturday’s showdown with No. 7 Oregon, the fifth-ranked Spartans have lost just three times in the last 30 games. One of those was last season at Oregon when the Ducks rallied to score 28 straight points and record the 46-27 victory.

That game, and the loss to Ohio State, have been motivation to this Michigan State team, which opened the season with a 37-24 victory over Western Michigan.

But, as Dantonio said all offseason, the Spartans did not achieve their goals from last season, and it led to his motto of “reach higher” entering 2015. – Read more at DetNews.com
