MSU Softball: Talk was of sitting, not hitting, player

East Lansing — Michigan State’s softball coaches say they discussed whether to play a senior on the way to a game at Central Michigan in late April, not whether they would intentionally hit that player with a pitch during batting practice in retaliation for negative comments she made about the program.

Coach Jacquie Joseph and assistant Jessica Bograkos told Michigan State University Police, in a report provided to The News, they discussed if they would play Alyssa McBride while riding the team bus to Central Michigan for a scheduled game April 29.

Bograkos’ account of the conversation to MSU Police contradicts what she told Michigan State Police earlier, when she denied there had been discussion with Joseph about McBride during the bus ride. – Read more at DetNews.com
