MSU tight end preview: It’s now a position of strength

The 2015 Michigan State football team is scheduled to report for preseason camp on Aug. 7, exactly four weeks before the Sept. 4 season opener at Western Michigan. This is the fourth in a series of breakdowns of each position group before camp begins for an expected preseason top-10 team.

Today: tight ends

Last season: Josiah Price looked at times like a sure-fire pro, and early in the season it looked like he might be on his way to large numbers. But Price had just five catches in the season’s final four games, finishing with 26 for 374 yards and six touchdowns. Quarterback Connor Cook said after the season that he could have gone more to Price and Jamal Lyles. MSU got occasional contributions from Lyles last season and reliable blocking from senior Andrew Gleichert. – Read more at
